The VFC Avalon Rapier is a top-quality, full metal AEG with a host of features already installed. The receiver and handguard are finished in a great looking grey ‘Cerakote’ style finish, complimented beautifully by the textured polymer furniture. The receiver also features very precise and fine engraving of the Avalon logo and trades, as well as a unique serial number. All the controls (with the exception of the charging handle) are ambidextrous – even down to the ‘bolt’ release! The receiver and stock feature QD sling points for all your carrying needs, and the metal iron sights are strong enough to withstand plenty of abuse. In keeping with the slimline profile of the gun, VFC have opted for a low profile handguard, with KeyMod sections on all sides except the top, which features a 20mm RIS rail to match the receiver. VFC haven’t slouched with the internals either; offering a MOSFET, reinforced piston and piston head, precision-cut steel gears, quick-change spring system, 8mm high speed bearings and a 6.03mm inner barrel as standard! The trigger response on a 7.4v LiPo battery is very crisp, with a rate of fire to give other top-end AEGs in the field a run for their money.
